The Bizarre Saga of the Coverdale Page 30th Anniversary Release

David Coverdale spent five years discussing his plans for a Coverdale Page box set. Now neither Coverdale or Page are promoting the album's re-release.

David Coverdale has since 2018 repeatedly discussed his plans to release a remastered and expanded box set version of the album he released with Jimmy Page on March 15, 1993 that was titled Coverdale Page.

But the re-release of the album that hit shops in Japan this week contains no bonus content, hasn’t been remastered, and isn’t being promoted by either Coverdale or Page.

There were plans for a box set of the album in 2023

It’s well known that unused material for the album exists along with behind the scenes footage documenting its recording.

Page and Coverdale toured Japan together in December 1993, playing seven shows and providing further material for a potential expanded release.
